Fishing

The port of Agadir is one of the most important ports in Morocco. The fishing sector with its various components (coastal fishing, high seas fishing and traditional fishing) constitutes the third sector in terms of economic importance in the city, after tourism and agriculture. Thanks to its reception capacity, infrastructure and basic equipment, the port of Agadir occupies a very important position at the national level in terms of transit and export of various sea products. The port of Agadir also has a fish market, industrial units for canning and semi-canning, units for packing and packaging fresh fish, units for freezing, units for the production of flour and fish oil, and a shellfish processing unit.
