The climate of Agadir belongs to the Mediterranean and semi-desert climate at the same time, where the daily temperature often remains in the twenties, and the annual temperature range is similar to that in Nairobi, Kenya. The city passes through the so-called Sharqi, a desert wind that causes temperature levels to rise above 40 degrees Celsius in summer. The highest temperature was recorded in the summer of 2012, reaching 51.7 °C, and the lowest recorded temperature was -2.6 °C.
